Stop eating hydrogenated oils

So here's the deal. This is a pledge to cut hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils out of your diet completely. This includes cutting certain foods out of your diet including certain margarines and many pre-packaged junk foods. The reason it is so important for a person to cut hydrogenated oils out of his/her diet is because hydrogenated oils are "man-made" and therefore are unable to be broken down by the body. On top of not being able to be broken down, hydrogenated oils prevent the body from being able to do things like create enzymes that produce DHA and EPA Omega-3 fatty acids (this is especially detrimental to people who eat a vegetarian or vegan diet.)

So, please join and agree that you will cut hydrogenated oils out of your diet. It will require reading ingredient labels before you purchase items, but this small change to your diet will make your body (and your heart) very happy.

    good pledge Lauren....

    I haven't eaten or cooked with anything other than pure olive oil for three years. I don't eat take-away food, pre-packed/pre-cooked food like TV dinners or junk food.
